I am standing in the dark
I’m afraid I’m running out of gas
and there’s nowhere I can park
The walls are closing in on me
but I feel too tired to scream
And everything’s a nightmare
masquerading as a dream
But the fickle glass looks full again
the minute you appear
The claustrophobic clouds are gone
and everything is clear
It’s a life of light and shadows
partly day and partly night
And I’m grateful when you’re standing here
beside me in the light
