The Ocean Never Sleeps

The ocean is never tired.
I can hear it working,
pounding the shore
as I lie in my room,
sunscorched and weary
from my vacation occupation.
The waves roll in from far away
yet they don’t sound tired.
Unlike me,
the ocean never sleeps.
