María!

On the arrival of our new maid

Today is my first time
but I’m not afraid
I’m spending the day
home alone with the maid

I thought maids would threaten
my privacy sphere
so I’d always vetoed
us having one here

and then out of nowhere
María appears
banishing all
of my meaningless fears

María is as happy
as she’s ever been
and we are delighted
the house is so clean!

I won’t try to hide it
a spade is a spade
I’m simply delighted
that we have a maid
